Cathy Molloy studied Theology at the Milltown Institute in Dublin in the 1980s where she was awarded a BD and later a Licentiate (STL) in Sacred Theology. Subsequently she taught in the Milltown Institute for several years and then worked in the Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice until July 2011.
Cathy has contributed articles to many books and journals principally on theology of marriage, Church, and Catholic Social Teaching.
She has served for several years on her Parish Council, presently as Chairperson. As grandmother to seven grandchildren, and in this Year of Faith, Cathy is very concerned about some of the directions the church seems to be taking today. She is concerned too about what we can do if the hope for the participation of the upcoming generations, in the church that is to come, is to be realised.
